Butcher’s Row 


Butcher's RowA row of 24 shops all under cover running along one side of the Market and named after a local butcher. Some of the original meat hooks can still be seen in the shops if you look closely.

There is an eclectic mix of small shops many offering unique and locally made gifts from stained glass and art studios to sculptures in wood by John Butler and slipware jugs by Harry Juniper. In some of the shops you can watch as the craftsmen and women create their masterpieces.

Butcher's Row is open six days a week throughout the year.


Market Place


Market Place is a row of seven shops that flank one of the main entrances to the Market and Butcher’s Row in Grenville Street These shops have the traditional Victorian exterior with large windows and sell a wide range of products from fishing tackle and collectables. Open six days a week.
