TREE SAFETY WORK IN FORD WOODS on Tuesday 24 February 2026 and Friday 27 February 2026

As the landowner of Ford Woods, Bideford Town Council has a legal duty of care to ensure that trees are safe for visitors.

Following an arboricultural assessment, four trees have been identified as requiring management work as they are either affected by late-stage Ash Dieback or dead and structurally unstable. These trees are labelled in red on the adjacent map as T10, T2, T1 and G1, and the necessary works are being carried out this week.

Due to the requirements of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, which protects nesting birds during the main nesting season, the works must be carried out by 1 March 2026 which we appreciate is very short notice.

If you have any questions or would like to view the tree plan, please contact Bideford Town Council directly on 01237 428817

Thank you for your understanding 🌿
