Bideford Residents’ 100th Birthday Recognition

Bideford Town Council is pleased to recognise residents of Bideford who are celebrating their 100th birthday.

Reaching 100 years is a remarkable milestone, and the Council is pleased to mark this special occasion where possible.

Where we are informed in advance, the Mayor of Bideford may arrange a visit to the resident. During this visit, the Mayor may present a congratulatory card and a small gift on behalf of the Town Council.

Eligibility

This service is for residents of Bideford. The person celebrating their 100th birthday should live within the Bideford Town Council area for a visit to be arranged.

Notify Us

If you know someone who is a resident of Bideford and is approaching their 100th birthday, we would be grateful if you could let us know.

We ask for at least four weeks’ notice where possible to allow time for arrangements to be made.

You will need to confirm that you have obtained the centenarian’s consent to share their personal data with Bideford Town Council for the purpose of the Mayor of Bideford’s visit, in accordance with the Council’s privacy policy.

  • Downloading, completing, and returning the Centenary Birthday Notification Form (PDF)

Information Required

When submitting a notification, please provide as much of the following information as possible:

  • Full name of the person celebrating their 100th birthday
  • Date of birth
  • Confirmation that the person is a resident of Bideford
  • Current address
  • Contact details for the person submitting the form
  • Any relevant information to help us arrange a visit
  • Preferred timing for a visit, if applicable

This information helps us plan and arrange a visit appropriately.
