North Devon Display Gymnastic Club
North Devon Display Gymnastic Club is a British Gymnastics affiliated and Sports England GymMark accredited club. Becoming a charity in 2005, it is a well established Club of 11 years standing, managed by a volunteer committee of Trustees. Over that period it has provided sporting facilities for over 3000 North Devon children of all ages and abilities. It runs from the gymnasium at Caddsdown industrial estate in Bideford, initially providing gymnastics at grass roots level.
The aim of the Club is to constantly improve, providing integrated, progressive, gymnastics for boys and girls of all ages and abilities (where appropriate), in an enjoyable and safe environment. It also offers a path of development for those who wish to work at higher levels, taking part in competitions and displays both at local, regional and national level.
With good class structures, the Club trains at several levels through various disciplines from special needs, pre-school, general and men’s and women’s artistic gymnastics to sport acro and free style (street running / parcour type) for both boys and girls.
It has a comprehensive selection of equipment which has been bought through much valued grants and sponsorship and is replaced and maintained in the same way. All our coaches are fully qualified, members of British Gymnastics, and all hold enhanced CRB references.
All older gymnasts and parents are encouraged to take advantage of the Club’s Coach training scheme which provides on-going mentoring and ensures qualifications are updated to British Gymnastics standards and Club requirements.
