Public participation Sessions of 15 minutes are held prior to the start of each public meeting.  

For Committee Meetings questions may only be raised on items on the agenda.  

For Full Town Council meetings, items which fall within the scope of the Council's activities may be raised by Bideford Residents.  Participants will be asked to read the Bideford Town Council Code of Conduct (or available at the meeting), and to complete a pro-forma stating their name and address and item to be raised.

19.   Notice of Motion – Councillor Joel Herron:
“To lower the speed limit in Bideford to twenty miles per hour throughout the town.”

20.   Notice of Motion – Councillor Peter Christie:
“To ascertain and make a note in the minutes of this meeting, the names of those Councillors who give permission to be contacted in the event of an Emergency. No prejudice or bias would be shown towards those who prefer not to be contacted. No reason needs to be given by those who prefer not to be contacted.

This is purely to have those Councillors who are happy to be contacted included in the overall Emergency Plan.”

21.   Notice of Motion – Councillor Mrs L Hellyer:
“For Bideford Town Council to adopt the MND (motor neurone disease) Charter in order to publicise their issues, and those of other people with disabilities. This has already been adopted by councils around the country.”

22.   Torridge District Council – To receive an update on Torridge District Council activities by one of the Councillors.

23.   To receive an update on Bridge Trust activities by one of the Trustees.
