The Minutes of the Meeting held on 1st November 2017 were approved and signed as a correct record.

057. TO CONSIDER AND RESPOND TO AN APPLICATION TO NAME AND NUMBER NEW STREET/DEVELOPMENTS

Councillor Christie asked members to consider and respond to an application to name and number new development at former Tantons Hotel, New Road.

Councillor Christie drew members attention to the email sent through from Torridge District Council with the suggested name for the development. It was agreed strongly by all members that being named Riverside would cause too much confusion in the town.

RESOLVED: To rename “Riverside” as Hampton Court to avoid confusion with Riverside Close, Riverside Court and Riverside House.
