010.   APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

There were no apologies for absence.

011.   DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

Councillor Christie (Chairman) declared a non-pecuniary interest in Item 6 (m).

012.   PUBLIC PARTICIPATION SESSION

The Chairman welcomed the representatives from Baker Estates, Mr Tom Biddle and Mr Ian Baker.

Mr Biddle addressed the committee regarding Planning Application 1/1078/2020/REMM, Item 6 (o) on the agenda. Mr Biddle referred to the meeting on 18 November, when he made a presentation to the Committee in respect of 26 proposed bungalows on land east and west of Manteo Way.

Mr Biddle reported to the committee that since that date over 100 newsletters had been sent to nearby residents, 30 invitations to a zoom meeting, and a bespoke web site had been set up. To date feedback had been positive, and the reaction to the proposed bungalows had not been negative and residents were expressing relief that a development of bungalows would not overlook existing residential properties. Positive comments had also been received about the architecture and the open space proposed.
Three of the statute consultees had responded to date to the Planning Application with positive comments. No comments to date had been received from the public. Tom Biddle hoped there would be some letters of support forthcoming.

The Chairman thanked Mr Biddle for his participation in the meeting.
