070.      MINUTES

The Minutes of the Meeting held on 20 November 2019 were approved and signed as a correct record.

071.     TO CONSIDER AND RESOLVE UPON A NAME/NAMES FOR A DEVELOPMENT AT CADDSDOWN INDUSTRIAL PARK, TO BE SUBMITTED TO THE DEVELOPERS FOR APPROVAL

The Chairman pointed out that the Developer’s suggestion of Hockin Court could not be used as it contravened the Authority’s Street Naming and Numbering Policy &
Procedure Page 6 “Criteria for Naming Streets – Further Notes” para 4.

He had researched the site and had discovered that the original owners were farmers and their family name was Tucker. He suggested to members that this be put forward
for approval. Members discussed the variations of using this name.

RESOLVED: That the name to be put forward for Units 1 – 9 at the new site at Caddsdown be named TUCKER’S WAY

072.      TO CONSIDER AND RESOLVE UPON THE PRE-CONSULTATION PROPOSAL FOR A RADIO BASE STATION INSTALLATION IN HONESTONE STREET CAR PARK

The Chairman explained that the mast would be replacing one in existence. Members
discussed the dimensions of the mast and the impact it would have on the surrounding
area.

RESOLVED: That the proposed installation is refused on the grounds that it will
create a visual intrusion on the area and that there are serious concerns that the
introduction of 5G could be detrimental to the health of people and animals.

074.    PLANNING AUTHORITIES UPDATE BY CLERK

Members noted the decisions received from Torridge District Council since the last meeting. The Chairman pointed out that one of the decisions had in fact been an application for this meeting, namely 1/0959/2019/FULM. The application had been withdrawn.


The business of the meeting having been completed, the Chairman thanked Members for their attendance and the meeting concluded at 6.35pm.
