Minutes of the Planning Committee Meeting held in the Council Chamber, Town Hall, Bideford on Wednesday 18 May 2016 at 6.00 pm

001   ELECT A CHAIRMAN

Councillor Christie was proposed by Councillor Langmead, and was seconded and

RESOLVED: That the Chairman for the Planning Committee is Councillor Christie, for the Mayoral year  2016 / 2017.

002   ELECT A VICE CHAIRMAN

Councillor Langmead was proposed by Councillor McGeough, and was seconded and

RESOLVED: That the Vice Chairman for the Planning Committee is Councillor Langmead for the Mayoral year 2016 / 2017.

The Minutes of the Meeting held on 27 April 2016 were approved and signed as a correct record.

RESOLVED: The Committee agreed with the application

b.    Application No: 1/0379/2016/FULM: Variation of Condtions 4 (revised landscaping scheme) and 7 (extended delivery hours) of 1/1320/2014/FULM for the ALDI store only. ALDI, Atlantic Park. Applicant: Aldi c/o Agent. Agent: Planning Potential, Bristol. (Date received: 22 Apr 16).

RESOLVED: That the application is refused.  On Condition 4 – the Committee agreed with the Tree Officer and resolved that the original condition stands.  On Condition 7 – the Committee resolved that the original condition stands due to the future residential amenity.

008    PLANNING AUTHORITIES UPDATE BY CLERK

The Assistant to the Town Clerk gave an update on planning application decisions received from TDC.
