Minutes of the Planning Committee Meeting held in the Council Chamber, Town Hall, Bideford on

Wednesday 19 June 2013 at 6.00 pm

010 DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
Councillor Langmead declared that, as both a Town and District Councillor, he will reconsider the applications at District level, taking into account all relevant evidence.
Councillor Wootton declared a pecuniary interest in items 6.e. & 6.f. (employee of the company).

012 MINUTES

The Minutes of the Meeting held on 29 May 2013 were approved and signed as a correct record.

013 OBSERVATIONS ON PROPOSED WORKS TPO ORDER 1/0402/2013/TRE

Councillor Fulford joined the meeting.

The Committee made the following observations concerning the TPO order and works to the tree:
That this area was protected back in the 1950’s so needs to be maintained and preserved.

RESOLVED: That the application decision is deferred. The Committee feels that, as there are in excess of 16 takeaways in the Town already, the business validity of the application is questionable. The Committee wishes to be advised what sort of takeaway this application relates to before it can make a decision.
