Minutes of the Planning Committee Meeting held in the Council Chamber, Town Hall, Bideford on Wednesday 8 May 2013 at 6.00 pm

Councillor Langmead declared that as both a Town and District Councillor that he will reconsider the applications at District level, taking into account all relevant evidence.
Councillors Fulford (Pollyfield Community Centre Council Rep) Inch, Christie and Langmead declared non-pecuniary interests in agenda item 6.e. (involvement with the Boxing Club and Members of Torridge District Council).
Councillors Christie and Langmead declared a non-pecuniary interest in agenda item 6.o (Chair/Member of Bridge Trust).

RESOLVED: That the application is refused as the facts on the plaque are not historically correct: specifically that there is no concrete evidence that Grenville was born on that site and he was only instrumental in the formation of the port and Borough of Bideford, and not the creator of them.

134 PLANNING APPLICATIONS – NOTIFICATION OF DECISIONS BY PLANNING AUTHORITIES

The Committee noted the content of those Planning Applications which had been granted / refused by Planning Authorities since the last meeting.
                   
135 UPDATE FROM CLERK

The Clerk read out the response from Planning Support TDC regarding the time limits for planning applications and the Councillors requested copies of the information for future reference. Councillor Bob Wootton was nominated as the Bideford Town Council representative for the Torridge District Council Planning Committee meeting on 09.05.13 to put forward the Council’s views regarding the Atlantic Park Development.                   

The business of the Meeting having been completed, the Chairman thanked the Members for their attendance and the Meeting concluded at 7.50pm.
