There were no members of the public in attendance.

016.    MINUTES

The Minutes of the Meeting held on 12 May 2021 were approved and signed as a correct record.

017.     PLANNING APPLICATIONS

Outline planning application for the erection of up to 290 dwellings, including affordable housing with public open space, landscaping and sustainable drainage system (SuDS) and two vehicular access points from Abbotsham Road. RESOLVED: That the application could not be accepted on the following grounds:

Unsustainable location
Unacceptable projection into the countryside
Would lead to loss of rich ecological habitat
Major concerns for the viability with Kenwith Dam
There are serious concerns as to whether the road can take the traffic to be generated from this development

d.     Application No: 1/0521/2021/FULM. Outline application with all matters reserved for up to 300 dwellings with associated infrastructure and public open space (Variation of conditions 1 (the reserved matters), 11 (highways) and 18 (contamination) of planning approval 1/0626/2017/OUTM). Applicant: Devonshire Homes Ltd, Lowman Green, Tiverton, EX16 4LA. Agent: Mr I Roach, Roach Planning & Environment Ltd, Teignmouth. (Date received: 26 May 21).

However, members query the total number of 300 dwellings indicated on this application.
Members also query the distribution of Section 106 monies, would like some of the S.106 monies to be put towards lighting and extending the cycle track on Manteo Way.

018.     PLANNING AUTHORITIES UPDATE BY CLERK

Members noted the decisions received from Torridge District Council since the last meeting.
