097.     DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

Councillor Christie (Chairman) declared a non-pecuniary interest in Item 5 (b and c), as the current Chairman of Bideford Bridge Trust

098.     PUBLIC PARTICIPATION SESSION

There were no members of the public in attendance.

099.     MINUTES

The Minutes of the Meeting held on 29 January 2020 were approved and signed as a correct record.

100.    PLANNING APPLICATIONS

a.        Application No: 1/0045/2020/LBC: Replacement of front and rear doors and the creation of new wood framed windows in the front, side and rear elevations. Jollyboat Brewery, 4a Buttgarden Street, Bideford, Devon. Applicant: Mr Hugh Parry, The Coach House, Buttgarden Street, Bideford EX39 2AU. Agent: (none supplied) . (Date received 26 Feb 20).

RESOLVED: That the application is approved, on the proviso that the Conservation Officer is satisfied with the proposed works.

 b.       Application No: 1/0121/2020/FUL: Retrospective application for retention of flat roof covering existing open yard. Danny's, 2A Bridgeland Street, Bideford, Devon. Applicant: Mr E Bengu, (same address). Agent: Philip Price Surveyors Ltd, Bideford. (Date received: 28 Feb 20).

RESOLVED: That the application is refused on the grounds that the works are not in-keeping with the listed building it is attached to and is out of character with the surrounding conservation area.

(Vote – For: 4, Against: 0, Abstentions: 1)
