The Minutes of the Meeting held on 30 July 2014 were approved and signed as a correct record.

a.   Application: No 1/0722/2014/LBC:  Alterations to create six one bedroom flats and to reinstate shop entrance at 2 Market Place.  1 and 2 Market Place, Bideford. Applicant:  Richard Holdcroft (same address).  Agent:  (Date received: 06 Aug 14).

RESOLVED: That the application is approved, providing the Conservation Officer is allowed access and is satisfied with the plans; any architectural items of value are to be preserved.

RESOLVED: That the application is approved with the proviso that the top left window with it’s unique window within a window and the fire mark in the blind window on the first floor are retained.

The Committee did not resolve upon the application as it is outside of the Bideford Town Council area of responsibility.

RECOMMENDED: That the application is not approved.  The Committee accepts the principle development for two houses, already passed, but the site is not regarded as suitable for three.

The item was omitted from the agenda.  Members indicated their intention which will be ratified at the Meeting to be held on 10 September 2014.
                   
033  PLANNING AUTHORITIES UPDATE BY CLERK

The Deputy Town Clerk gave an update on planning application decisions received from Torridge District Council.                   

The business of the Meeting having been completed, the Chairman thanked the Members for their attendance and the Meeting concluded at 6.35 pm.
