A Walking Festival!

Rolling Hills of North Devon

The North Devon and Exmoor Walking Festival is now in it's 10th year and has grown to become one of the largest walking festivals in the UK. We've organised 84 guided walks this Spring ranging from shorter 2 mile half day walks to more lengthy 10 mile routes, you're sure to find the perfect walk for you!

2010 will be the biggest festival ever!  More choice, with food walks, jeep safaris and more walks on bus routes.  From Lundy island to Dunkery Beacon  we're showcasing the very best of North Devon and Exmoor National Park!

North Devon Festival 2010

Childrens Flags at Appledore Arts FestivalRecognised as being one of the top five events in the country by The Times, the North Devon Festival is a celebration of the rich cultural life of the area with dance, fairs, art, lifestyle, sport, theatre, comedy, and nature events happening throughout our rural idyll from coastline to moors over the month of June. The 2010 festival will see a unique explosion of creative energy with a mouth-watering line-up that includes Paul Merton, Shappi Khorsandi, Rick Wakeman, Chris Packham, Jacqui Dankworth, Brian Blessed, one of Alan Bennett’s finest plays The History Boys, Barnstaple Fringe including the exciting and ever-evolving Fringe Theatrefest, Appledore Visual Arts Festival, and of course Lynton and Lymouth Music Festival and GoldCoast Oceanfest (headlined by The Magic Numbers). We’re getting really excited about The Movie Bus – a unique 1967 mobile cinema, a retro-futuristic vehicle which is going to be screening a series of archive films of the local area which will be roaming around visiting communities far and wide.
