There were no apologies for absence.
089 DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
Councillor Pester declared that as both a Town and District Councillor he wanted to make it clear that he will reconsider the applications at District level, taking into account all the relevant evidence and representations at the District tier. He also declared a personal interest in agenda item 5.c. (Town Council providing some funding).
Councillor Christie declared a personal interest in agenda item 5.c. (Bridge Trust and Town Council providing some funding).
Councillors Mrs Davies and Ms Farrington declared a personal interest in agenda item 5.c. (Town Council providing some funding).

RESOLVED: That the application is refused on the grounds that the Council is against the gating of any community in Bideford and it notes that the application is not retrospective although the work has already been done. The Council asks that the gates are removed.

RESOLVED: That the application is refused on the basis that the original scheme is more in keeping with the Georgian balance of the listed building.
